For
Linkin Park, the road to success was defined by change. This was a band
that originally consisted of three high school friends who learned to
rock in 1996. From then to 2008, this band has gone from Xero to Hybrid
Theory and finally, Linkin Park. On this journey, their music evolved
labeling them as a band of variety. Members of the band also changed
along the way. This awesome band now consists of Chester Bennington
(vocals), Mike Shinoda (vocals/sampling/guitar/keyboard), Joe Hahn
(turntables, samples), Brad Delson (guitar), Rob Bourdon (drums) and
Dave 'Phoenix' Farrell (bass).

This
combination of
artistes must have been the right fit. Their first album, Hybrid
Theory, was
released on October 24th, 2000. This album sold
over 4.8 million
copies, earning the title of the Best Selling album of 2001. Their
portfolio of
hits would include ‘Crawling’ and ‘One Step Closer’ from Hybrid Theory,
‘High
Voltage’ from Reanimation, ‘Breaking the Habit’ from Meteora and their
remarkable collaboration with the undisputed Jay-Z, “Numb/Encore’.
Not
only do they strive
to please fans with hit songs and bizarre music videos, but Linkin
Park
also uses their talent to give back to society. They are involved in
various
charitable events; one of their ongoing projects is the Music for
Relief fund
which is in aid of rebuilding homes in New Orleans for
survivors of Hurricane Katrina. If something is
